Official Force Artifact Uploading

Hello all,

I would like to ask if there is a statement/consensus on how the mender sees force uploading artifacts with the same name.

I am aware that with a small bash script one can delete an existing artifact then upload one with the same name, however I was curious whether there are new developments on officially supporting this feature.
