Login with mender client setup with a github account

I am setting up a Debian install with mender client setup. I am trying to connect it to hosted.mender.io and it asks me for my email and pass but I signed up with github so hosted.mendeer does not have a password from me. How do i connect my client to hosted.mender.io

Hi @Huupe-Dreams!

Thanks for reaching out! The user/password method is only available if you are not using a SSO account like Google or GitHub. For those only the tenant method token is possible.

It doesn’t work either way. See latest forum posts, both me an another user are having trouble finding any devices just installed. I tried doing mender setup but couldn’t login to my github / email account.

Okay, I tried making another account with email/password login directly to mender, even paid $34 for it, and the same issue. So please fix this, support.

Hello,
I had an issue where the device was by default connecting to the US server, if you are in EU like me, you need to change the default server in /etc/mender/mender.conf

@EnjoysMath have you already contacted support@mender.io? If note, please do so. Thanks, sorry to hear you’re having problems.
