Hello all Friends of Mender!
Four weeks to go! FOSDEM 2026 is approaching, and I will be there as always. Are you also around?
Let’s kick off the weekend together! Join us for the Mender Community Dinner on Friday, January 30th – the evening before FOSDEM. It’s the perfect opportunity to say hello, share your stories, challenges, and successes – all over good food and a drink of your choice.
This is open to everyone: long-time contributors, first-time users, or anyone curious about OTA updates and embedded Linux.
How to join? Just ping me (@TheYoctoJester) so I can book enough seats. Details on location and starting time will follow once I know the group size.
Please let me know no later than January 23rd, as restaurant bookings in Brussels during FOSDEM get complicated quickly!
While you’re waiting for FOSDEM, check out Device Dojo – our hands-on video series covering practical embedded security and device integration topics, from TPM-based disk encryption to advanced Yocto techniques:
And mark your calendars: we’ll also be at Embedded World 2026 in Nuremberg, March 10–12. More details to follow!
Greetz and see you there,
Josef
