Fota BBB - on wifi BBB

If i am using the BBB for doing a fota and after that i took another board which is wifi based and i connected wifi to that device then will mender work?

for ex:
On BBB all i checked FOTA, all working. after that i took that SD card and kept in another board which have 4G modem as a internet. and in the image all provision is there to connect the 4G modem and fetch the internet.
So my question is that will mender also will work with 4G modem?

Yes, as long as the 4G modem presents as a standard networking device and routing is configured by the Debian networking utilities properly. Mender just uses the networking as provided by the base OS.
