Human readable device ID when deploying on a specific device

When creating a deployment on a specific device, the displayed device ID is the internal ID that’s assigned by mender. Similarly, when creating a deployment and presented with a dialog where device group or ID should be entered, device IDs need to be the internal ID. But, these IDs are not human readable. So, is there a way to change the ID shown on the deployment create dialog?
