Deployment fails because of 500 Internal Server Error from hosted.mender.io

After starting a deployment based on an artifact generated by hosted.mender.io, the client on the target repeatedly logs the following:

Hi @pamolloy,

Please share the mail address you used for the account or the tenant idea (privately, use a DM) so we can investigate the source of the error on the backend side. There is no single common reason that could be triggered by the user.
