Not out of the box I am afraid. The reason is that the deltas need a read only filesystem to work on, and this is not the case for the raspbian debian images.
I guess it should be possible though, but I have not looked into it myself.
Another way of doing this could be to maybe write an rsync update module, or something similar, which does the diffing on the fly
