Automatic artifact update

Hello,

hypothetically would be possible using mender server REST API to provide kind of functionality which get online device, check what version they have and if they have old version push update to them without user intervention. I checked REST API documentation and it seems bits and pieces are there just want to check if anyone have experience with such process if there are some limitations which prevent to implement such functionality. Many thanks.

Hi Marek,
This certainly should be feasible with the API. I’ve not done anything like this but please let us know if you do and if you uncover any issues.

Thanks Drew. I’ll be working on it in next couple days and probably some new questions will appear but lets see -> API documentation is pretty nice :+1:
