# Pick up the mender artifact from a specific location or cloud

HI All,

I am using an onprim mender server ,when i click on browse the mender artifact we hve to go to specific location and then browse.  
But is it possible to browse the artifact from a specific directory or from Cloud.

Hi,

Currently only local file storage is supported when you click the “Upload” button in the GUI.

You can also use the [API’s](https://docs.mender.io/2.3/apis/open-source/management-apis/deployments) to upload Mender Artifacts if you need to upload from a different location.
