Hi,

We’re investigating a solution using the Pi5 and Ubuntu Server 24.04 (64 Bit)
Having previously used mender on past projects (Raspbian) we’d like to stick with it if possible

Trying to run mender-convert on a master Ubuntu image fails as the bundled config is meant for 32-bit

Would you have any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Or alternatively any documentation/guidance on how to create a custom config ourselves for Ubuntu? Is that feasible?

Many thanks

Hi @AlexC,

Thanks for reaching out. I would suggest to start with the Raspberry OS style config for the Pi5, and then work my way through eventually needed modifications for Ubuntu. As far as I know there are already a few in [mender-convert/configs/raspberrypi/uboot/include/common\_config at master · mendersoftware/mender-convert · GitHub](https://github.com/mendersoftware/mender-convert/blob/master/configs/raspberrypi/uboot/include/common_config) , but you’ll certainly have to dig a bit.

Greetz,
Josef
