I definitely understand the need for the converted image. It’s definitely the way to go for anything beyond just playing around with the system.

When you say you disabled the console, how did you do that? We discovered recently that “enable\_uart=1” was required for U-Boot to function due to something related to GPU clock dividers or some such.
