# Is there a way to login with mender-cli using google login or my hosted tenant token

I’m logging in to your hosted service with my Google user - hard coding my user/password won’t work. So is there an alternative? Can I use my tenant token or something similar instead?

Hello @uishon, you cannot use your Google oauth2 user to log in using mender-clli. You need to create a password-based user, and use the combination of email and password to log in. You can use the “+” sign after your username to create a unique user still linked to your gmail account.

E.g. `youremailaddress+mendercli@gmail.com`
