Is it possible to configure and integrate the Mender client with a custom server by only modifying the **mender.conf** file, or are there other requirements, such as tokens, to consider?

Hi @Hamzaamri,

What do you mean by a “custom” server? If you’re talking about creating a replacement of the Mender Backend, please see my answer at [Mender-Client4 Integration with Custom Server Boîte de réception](https://hub.mender.io/t/mender-client4-integration-with-custom-server-boite-de-reception/7507).
If it means that you are self-hosting the open source version, then all you need to adjust is the `mender.conf` file, yes.

Josef
