Hi @ilan, welcome to Mender Hub.

We have details for the Variscite VAR-SOM-SOLO and DART-6UL available:

> [@Variscite DART-6UL](https://hub.mender.io/t/variscite-dart-6ul/483):
>
> The official [Mender documentation](https://docs.mender.io/) explains how Mender works. This is simply a board-specific complement to the official documentation. Board description Measuring only 50mm x 25mm, the DART-6UL is a highly flexible System-on-Module (SoM) based on NXP/Freescale’s i.MX 6UltraLite or i.MX 6ULL ARM Cortex-A7™ processor, up to 900MHz CPU Clock. The DART-6UL provides a variety of interfaces and connectivity options – all packaged at an optimized power, size and cost. The DART-6UL highly integrated co…

> Board description Staying on-trend with the market’s shift towards a cost-effective highly integrated off-the-shelf solution, the VAR-SOM-SOLO from Variscite level the playing ground for a broad spectrum of embedded products. Bringing all the benefits of the widely successful VAR-SOM-MX6, the VAR-SOM-SOLO/DUAL from Variscite carries much smaller dimensions and a slim-lined price-point. Features include NXP/Freescale’s iMX6 Solo/Dual Lite core, 1GHz Cortex-A9, SLC NAND, eMMC, dual-band certified …

Those integrations use the Rocko and Sumo branches of the Variscite BSP. It should be pretty straight-forward to support Morty similarly.

indeed, looks very similar and stright forward.

one question though, when running the first command:

```auto
mkdir mender-variscite && cd mender-variscite
```

what is the pathassumed?

is it the main yoco path?

These instructions assume that you do not have an existing Yocto environment, so the path does not really matter as it will setup everything in that directory.

on instructions there is a non working line:

cat …/sources/meta-mender-community/meta-mender-variscite/templates/local-${MEDIA}.conf.append \>\> conf/local.conf
cat: …/sources/meta-mender-community/meta-mender-variscite/templates/local-emmc.conf.append: No such file or directory

indeed local-emmc.conf.append does not exist
