# Installing deb packages

Hi @keithrobinson67,

The process should be correct. So you have created the `deb`-artifact as described in [Deb packages](https://hub.mender.io/t/deb-packages/326#p-1018-create-mender-artifacts-8), then uploaded it to Hosted Mender and initiated the deployment from there?
