Hi mender team,

I would like to test hardware security for device authentication feature in i.MX8QM board.
Can I use CAAM as HSM?
How to proceed and what are the steps to be followed?

Thanks & Regards,
Chaithanya

It definitely won’t work out of the box. You will need to first get OpenSSL working with CAAM. [This link from NXP](https://www.nxp.com.cn/docs/en/application-note/AN12632.pdf) may be helpful.

The Mender documentation on this feature is [here](https://docs.mender.io/overview/security#hardware-security).
