# Extremely slow upload speeds regarding artifacts

Hey everyone,

Since yesterday I’m trying to upload a mender artifact (in Mender Hosted) that is about 1.6gb in size (lzna compressed, but it happens with gzip compression too) and I get about 80kbps of upload speed. As a result, I hit the 2 hours Bad Gateway mark, making it impossible for me to upload full system artifacts.

My usual upload speed is around 9mbps, which I confirmed by uploading the artifact in gdrive (it only takes ~30 minutes there).

I’ve tried both a direct request to the API and uploading via the Web UI - both take extremely long.
