# Did you think about cyber security?

October is the cybersecurity month, and yesterday I was faced with [this article](https://techcrunch.com/2020/10/06/qiui-smart-chastity-sex-toy-security-flaw/?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly9kdWNrZHVja2dvLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAFkBTbZ39ouVRqtrgWIm6jc079n7A1vyXhRZfTYGkU6g8M5yElL27p6WDec3c7ikEOgtb_nJfgV-VVHp4SfBKZOf9ybQ4YOiHV4ZWP4zA_tVSIwvYlwTtjDPWWAhqMvlBcjUivgudnyzVfWLeoXabe-0vlns99SlZjfqxKxcjLvm) which even if at first it made me laugh a little, it brought up a serious problem: how do you protect your devices from cyber-attacks? Was this a factor that you took into consideration when choosing Mender?
