# DFU: which device type for NRF5340 board

Hello @mirzak I am currently trying to preform a DFU update on a NRF5340 Development board. What should I mention in the device type? DEVICE\_TYPE=“my-device-type” . What would be my-device-type here?

@Utsav_Shah the `device_type` for the artifact creation is always the device as it shows up on the Mender dashboard. Whatever gets updated through DFU needs to be handled accordingly in the Update Module.
