# Deploy changes to active rootfs partition

Hi,

I have a running (test-) mender setup, that will be work fine. But, how can I apply a mender-artifact without to lost some data. The customer will use docker container and AWS IoT with greengrass. In case of a new mender deployment, the mender client will switch the active/passiv configuration.

If there any type of deployment, which will only update the active partition?
