# CM3 module using Buildroot

Just as a FYI: Buildroot has had a few updates since this topic was created:

- mender-grubenv is now in buildroot mainline

- There is a pending patch series for a x86 demo found here: [https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/1156734/](https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/1156734/) and here: [https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/1156735/](https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/1156735/)

- I have created two topics in the buildroot subforum:
