# AWS S3 storage via proxy or interface endpoint

Hi @jonah_robinson welcome to Mender Hub.

You can configure Mender to use AWS S3 directly rather than using Minio and part of the configuration is a specific URI. Does that not work for the interface endpoints? I’m a noob with AWS stuff so I may be completely off base so if the above doesn’t help, I can loop in others with more expertise.
