# Artifact name suffixed with \_INCONSISTENT

We’re running the 2.4.0b1 mender server with 2.0.0 clients.
We just upgraded a number of devices to an artifact called imxull\_release-612
We’re looking at the version on one of our devices and it says it has artifact\_name imxull\_release-612\_INCONSISTENT
imxull\_release-612\_INCONSISTENT does not exist in our list of artifacts. Can anyone tell me what it means that the artifact\_name is has INCONSISTENT tagged on the end of it?

Once an artifact has had \_INCONSISTENT appended to it what can be done to get a new artifact deployed to the device?

You’ll need to understand why it is in that state and figure out which deployment needs to be manually redone. Ideally you would do a full image update to clear it up.

Thanks Drew, I was able to redeploy the last successful deployment and continue working forward from there.
